Buttonhole stitch

For the buttonhole stitch sampler, I used DMC cotton floss I had dyed to cover a piece of old denim shirt.

Hi JoWynn!
You have a good start on your blog. I like your buttonhole ... lots of colour & texture.
You asked what kind of needle I use for the heavier yarns. It is very scientific. I bought a large pkg. of various sizes and use whatever will work. I think the needle I used with the onion bags was the type used to sew sweaters together - large eye & dull point.
Happy sewing!

Hi JoWynn, thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a tag. I will endeavour to answer it soon.

I love you buttonhole stitch sampler, the denim is a great foundation for your dyed threads and I like the different textures created by the stitching.
